Conducted a Seminar on Oral Cancer Awareness and Future Trends in Implants

         The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, Desh Bhagat University, marked International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Day with a seminar. The event commenced centered around the crucial topics of Oral Cancer Awareness and Future Trends in Implants.               Distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, and Dr. Unnati Pitale, Principal, graced the occasion with their presence. They commended the efforts of the organizing team comprising Dr. Naresh Kumar, Dr. Tejveer Singh, and Dr. Taneet Kaur from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh encouraged both students and staff members to continue organizing such programs to enhance awareness among students.                   The seminar featured enlightening lectures by esteemed professionals in the field. Dr. Harish Matta, Director of Oncology at Fortis Hospital Ludhiana, delivered an insightful presentation on cancer awareness. He emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and discussed preventive measures against Oral Cancer. Dr. Matta’s expertise added immense value to the event, enriching the knowledge of all attendees.

Dr. Gaurav Malik, Periodontics & Implantologist, Director and Head of the Department of Dentistry at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mohali, shed light on Future Trends in Implants. His lecture was followed by a hands-on workshop organized by Dr. Malik and his team, where interns and postgraduate students actively participated, gaining practical insights into implant procedures.

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from dental staff members, postgraduates, interns, and BDS students, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration. The event concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.
