A Melodious Voice across seven seas: ‘DISCOVER YOUR OWN STYLE’: KASHI

Last week, we got the chance to get an emerging artist “Kashi” in his studio for an un-stripped & honest interview to learn about how he became a singer/music producer, his creative process and his plans.
“Kashi” released his debut song “Maahiya Ve” as a singer back in 2014, further on releasing “Kaag” as his first project as a singer & music producer in 2019. He has released 7 songs so far, among those “Lekh” is his recent release and getting good hits on youtube.
Born and raised in Barnala, he persuaded his Bachelors of Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala and further studied at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Not stopping here, Kashi moved to New Zealand in 2016 to study Construction Project Management and now works as a Project Manager in a reputed firm in Auckland.
When asked what it is like being a music producer, he says, “Producing music to me is like being a chef, a creator, who has been assigned to deliver a taste, an emotion. You try something, you add on a little of that, experiment, add a few melody lines and all of that makes a song that touches you. It is always an urge that inspire you to create something”
Talking about his journey so far, there were some influences, life experiences and learnings which pushed him through the challenges and guided his way to the milestone where he stands now. For his future plans, Kashi is working on some lined up projects and has some video shoots scheduled soon.
When asked, what inspires him most and what message he would like to convey to the readers out there he says, “It’s best to be inspired by your own voice and style. You’ll have to explore and discover your own style as you progress on. I try to find my own voice, style and my own functions. I believe that’s the best way to go as no one will be able to take away that ever.”
