‘Constitution Day 2021’ celebrated at Central University of Punjab

To mark the anniversary of the adoption of Constitution of India, the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) celebrated Constitution Day (Sanvidhan Diwas) by organizing a Preamble Reading Programme.
The NSS Cell of the university under the guidance of Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice Chancellor, conducted this programme during which CUPB officers, faculty, and students read the preamble of the Indian Constitution in 10 different languages to promote constitutional values among citizens. The preamble of the Constitution of India was read in English and nine Indian languages, such as Dogri, Urdu, Assamese, Punjabi, Malayalam, Bangla, Odia, Hindi, and Telugu languages. More than 120 students participated in this programme.
In his presidential address, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice Chancellor, outlined the values of the Indian Constitution and encouraged students to inculcate the true values of the Constitution in them. Prof. Vinod Kumar Garg, Dean Students Welfare, motivated the students to act as responsible citizens of India by following the fundamental duties.
Dr. Deepak Chauhan, NSS Coordinator, thanked the participants for their active participation and complimented all the five NSS programme officers, Dr. Jyoti Prakash, Dr. K. Milankumar Sharma, Dr. Pritam Chand, Dr. Sabyasachi Senapati, Dr. Preeti Khetarpal, and NSS office staff, Mr. Sukhnaib Singh, for smooth execution of the programme.
